Location: Gormanston, County Meath, Ireland. Salary: As per Company scale.
The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role.
Responsibilities
* To report any concerns for the safety of our service users and patients in the Unit to your line manager and/or other manager within Nua for appropriate address in line with company policy.
* To act responsibly at all times, and to co-operate with our regulators in the very best interests of our service and the people who use them.
* Respect patients and their families showing dignity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
* Act as an advocate for patients, as appropriate.
* Assist in the provision of a quality service and work in line with national and locally devised policies and regulations.
* Maintain the confidentiality of all information made available to you during the course of your work.
* To ensure the ward environment is maintained to the highest hygienic standards.
* To complete day to day cleaning responsibilities as outlined within the role specific key task list.
* Maintain a strict code of personal and general hygiene in the workplace as per work schedules and existing policies and procedures.
* Carry out assigned and delegated responsibilities involving direct care and all activities of daily living under supervision where appropriate.
* When directed, be responsible for the general cleaning of the area as identified by the Supervisor and ensure the agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas and appropriately documented in line with national and locally devised policies and regulations.
* When directed, be responsible for the preparation and serving of food in line with national and local policies and standards.
* Report any equipment faults to the Lead Housekeeping / Facilities Manager and ensure all equipment is stored safely.
Requirements
* 1 Year’s previous experience in a similar role.
Skills
* Experience of/with people with additional and/or complex needs is an advantage.
* Enthusiastic, proactive self-motivator who can provide holistic supports of the highest quality.
* The ability to adapt to new environments.
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills under pressure; ability to work on your own initiative.
* Ability to set high personal standards of performance and delivery of desired results.
* Excellent organisational skills / self-motivated / self-starter.
