Overview
Ana Liffey Drug Project is a registered charity (CHY6775 / 20013301) and a Company Ltd by guarantee. Our charitable purpose is "To benefit the community through the provision of assistance for drug users and drug dependants and such other persons as are at risk in their efforts to overcome their drug problems". We currently employ 85 staff who work on the frontlines across Dublin and the Midwest, serving people with complex issues such as addiction, homelessness, mental health issues and social isolation.
Ana Liffey Drug Project now seeks to expand our Board as our services expand and thrive. We seek to recruit a Trustee with expertise in health and social care leadership, preferably with adults experiencing social exclusion. We have a committed Board of Trustees / Directors who meet four to six times per year. All but one meeting per year are hybrid, with Trustees meeting in person once per year. Our three Board subcommittees meet remotely each quarter. We engage an external company, L&P at Cantor Fitzgerald, to provide the services of company secretary.
Ana Liffey Drug Project has a senior executive team, led by the CEO, as follows:
* Head of Addiction and Social Inclusion Services
* Head of Quality and Strategic Programmes
* Head of Finance and Support Services
* Assistant Director of Nursing for Housing First Dublin
The Trustee with health and social care experience is expected to bring high level knowledge and expertise to the Board which will advise and guide other Board members to appropriately govern the high level health and social care operations of the organisation. This Trustee is also expected to join the Clinical, Quality, Safety subcommittee of the Board. Ana Liffey Drug Project’s senior team operate under a full suite of operational policies and implement Safer Better Healthcare.

* Providing input to the strategic direction of the Not-For-Profit and contributing with insight, oversight, and experience of strategy formulation in the sector.
