Overall Objectives
To ensure the kitchen operation runs smoothly and maintains the company's reputation for food quality at all times.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and cook menu items as directed by the Sous / Head Chef.
* Assist in developing and planning menus, including future food trends, and be passionate about new service styles and concepts.
* Assist with stock taking when required.
* Ensure the smooth and efficient running of your section.
Client Service
* Ensure prompt and efficient service, exceeding customer expectations.
* Be customer-focused, approachable, and proactive in fulfilling customer needs.
People
* Be a team player, assisting colleagues as needed.
* Treat team members with respect.
* Instruct and demonstrate food preparation skills to Commis Chefs as directed.
Financial Management
* Manage food orders, ensuring standards and costs are met.
* Understand food costing, sales, and menu planning.
Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environment
* Follow company hygiene, health, and safety policies.
* Maintain cleanliness and proper storage in accordance with policies.
Additional Responsibilities
* Contribute to personal development through training.
* Demonstrate commitment to company values.
* Act as an ambassador for the business.
* Attend to client requests and training sessions as required.
