Post SummaryThe School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies (SLLCS) is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Russian Studies. This appointment is vital to the effective continuation of the teaching and research activity of the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies and therefore of the School.The successful candidate will contribute to, and coordinate at an administrative level existing modules offered by the Department, as well as designing and delivering modules related to that person’s areas of particular specialisation.The new appointee will be expected to teach existing and/or new modules in areas such as Russian literature, cinema, visual culture, area studies, new media, popular culture and literary translation.Post StatusTenure Track - This position is a Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.SalarySalary: Appointment will be made on Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€43,425 to €103,582 per annum)Hours of PostHours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
