Overview A leading food production business in Bandon, Co.
Cork is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team.
This role focuses on keeping plant machinery running safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting continuous improvement across operations.
Duties Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant, equipment, and services.
Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to reduce downtime and maintain production flow.
Assist in equipment upgrades, fabrication, installation, and improvement projects.
Support customer technical audits and ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, Hygiene, Quality, and Maintenance standards.
Contribute to a positive maintenance team culture, including knowledge sharing and supporting colleagues' development.
Use electrical experience as required to support maintenance activities.
Criteria Minimum 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Technician.
Strong ability to diagnose issues, repair equipment, and work under pressure to tight timelines.
Solid problem-solving skills with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexible attitude with a commitment to maintenance planning and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of safe systems of work and adherence to H&S best practice.
