Job Title: Disability Support Professional
The role of a Disability Support Professional is to provide high-quality support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. This involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, social inclusion, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
* Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, health management, and social activities.
* Work collaboratively with a team to deliver the best possible care and support.
* Ensure all care and support complies with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
* A graduate or currently studying towards a QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies, Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.
* CORU registration or in the process of obtaining registration.
* A genuine interest in working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and autism.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Flexibility and reliability for shift work, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
* Knowledge of HIQA regulations for residential and respite services.
