This role presents an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional to contribute to high-profile works within a progressive and safety-focused environment.Position Overview:The successful candidate will support the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety practices across multiple sites. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, this individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture across operational teams.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with statutory and internal safety requirements.Develop and deliver health and safety training programmes, including toolbox talks, to site personnel.Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and compile detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.Maintain and update all relevant health and safety documentation, systems, and registers.Support the implementation of health and safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Liaise with project teams and external stakeholders to promote and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.Candidate Requirements:Level 7 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.3–5 years' relevant experience in construction health and safety, preferably within the utilities or civil engineering sector.Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practice in risk management and compliance.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence site teams and promote a proactive safety culture.Certifications in Manual Handling, Safe Pass, and First Aid are advantageous.Why Join Us?This is a key role within a company committed to safety excellence and continuous professional development.
