Role: ICT Project ManagerHours: Full time (FTC)Location: Information Systems Department, Connolly StationSalary: 4B / 4A DPEApplications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager in our Information Systems Department. The ICT Project Manager works closely with colleagues across the ICT PMO, Cyber Security, the Office of the CTO (including Architecture), and Service Delivery. The role also requires strong collaboration with Business Relationship Managers and Project Sponsors to ensure projects deliver on business priorities. Externally, the ICT Project Manager coordinates with group-level functions, manages third-party suppliers, and supports engagement with the National Transport Authority (NTA) as required.Responsibilities include:You will ensure that the projects are delivered on-time, to budget and to agreed quality standardsResponsible for project tracking, monitoring, control, and success from concept to delivery into the production environmentCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsAssist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityDevelop / Manage a detailed project plan to monitor and track progressTrack and report on project performance including scope, budget, and scheduleEnsure resource availability and allocationManage the project budget reporting actuals vs forecasts monthlyHighlight budget performance plus variances at weekly status updates and to project sponsorsEstablish project governance setup at project initiationReport and escalate to management as neededCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation per the ICT PMO standardized processManage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesPerform risk management to ensure risks are documented and stakeholders are informedStrong ability to work at a detailed level whilst being able to extract the appropriate level of information for senior management consumption***This list is not exhaustive, for a full job description, please contact HR Shared Services***Essential Criteria:Minimum 7+ years' experienceProject Management Certification (Prince2 Certified or related Project Management Methodology)A track record in delivering IT ProjectsMinimum of 10 years' experience delivering projects appropriate to the role and purpose of the positionDemonstrated Project Management capability appropriate to the role and purpose of the positionExperience in presenting to Executive steering groupsStrong leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong commercial acumen, ability to manage project budgets more than €5mGood experience of waterfall methodologiesExperience working with and managing 3rd party vendorsAbility to perform well under pressureDesirable criteria:Experience delivering ICT projects in large, complex organisations or regulated industriesExposure to transport, infrastructure, or public sector environmentsFamiliarity with Agile or hybrid delivery approaches in a large-scale contextExperience contributing to or preparing external funding submissions (e.g. NTA)Strong facilitation skills for planning, design, or strategy workshops with senior stakeholdersKnowledge of ICT governance frameworks and PMO best practices.A competency-based interview will form this part selection process.
