Title and SummaryLead Software Engineer Overview RoleYou will be responsible for leading a team that develops, tests, implements, documents, maintains, and supports systems application software in adherence with Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices.
Responsibilities include:
Leading a team of talented engineers to develop high-performance, high-volume Java applications.Collaborating with technical architects and product owners to define and prioritize features and user stories.Providing direction to develop high-quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements and design artifacts within expected time and budget.Evaluating technical solution alternatives for current and future business needs.Working with the project team to meet scheduled deadlines, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.Ensuring team adherence to Mastercard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.Contributing ideas to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.Supporting the collection and reporting of project and software metrics.All about YouBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.10-13 years of experience in scalable, multi-threaded software products using Angular, Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle, PL/SQL, Unix/Shell scripts, deployed on Tomcat/PCF.Experience leading scrum teams of software engineers, providing technical direction, and resolving blockers.Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and understanding of SOAP APIs is a plus.Knowledge of Cloud Native Development, such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) & AWS.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.Knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks like Selenium, Rest-assured, TestNG, Postman.Good understanding of Java/microservices design patterns.Ability to innovate and develop solutions for complex design problems.Experience working in dynamic, collaborative environments, making independent decisions.Ability to learn and deploy new technologies as needed.Experience building scalable, maintainable applications.Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to retrospectives and elaboration sessions.Corporate Security ResponsibilityAll activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks come with inherent risks.
