Key Responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading freight vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) requires focus and precision to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Receiving, processing, and storing stock in designated warehouse locations involves the use of Reach FLT equipment for maximum productivity.
* Picking and packing orders from stock requires accurate attention to detail following the FIFO method.
* Preparing orders for dispatch involves building pallets and ensuring timely collection and delivery for customer satisfaction.
* Inputting transport bookings into the freight system for tracking and management is essential for effective logistics coordination.
* Effective communication with external customers, suppliers, and contractors is crucial for maintaining positive relationships and resolving any issues that may arise.
* Collaboration with internal departments ensures smooth warehouse operations and maximizes efficiency.
* Participating in regular stock-taking and cycle counting procedures helps maintain inventory accuracy and prevent losses.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A valid and up-to-date Counterbalance and Reach FLT License is mandatory for this role.
* A current Manual Handling Certificate demonstrates ability to handle heavy loads safely.
* At least two years' experience working in a warehouse environment, particularly in fast-paced settings involving groupage loading, is preferred.
* Proven ability to accurately pick stock with strong attention to detail is essential for order fulfillment.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems for data entry is necessary for efficient record-keeping.
* Strong command of both written and spoken English facilitates effective communication with colleagues and clients.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels, are vital for building strong relationships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel, enhances productivity and organizational capabilities.
