We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our team at The Athlone Springs Hotel.

The Role: Responsible for verifying the quality and quantity of all incoming goods, establishing and enforcing stock control procedures, and maintaining cleanliness in the stores, yard areas, and back-of-house spaces.
The Hotel: Located in Co. Westmeath, a region known for its commercial hubs, The Athlone Springs Hotel was acquired by the Só Hotel Group in 2019. Opened in 2007, it offers a welcoming environment with 68 modern bedrooms, leisure facilities including a swimming pool and restaurant, and is just five minutes from Athlone Town. It is part of the Só Hotel Group, which invests in people and provides opportunities for professional growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Handle Deliveries & Stock Control: Receive, verify, and reconcile deliveries; ensure proper storage according to HACCP, health & safety, and company standards.
* Organize & Distribute Goods: Assign products to departments, maintain records, manage shortages or returns, and communicate with managers.
* Maintain Cleanliness & Order: Keep storerooms and outdoor areas tidy, dispose of waste properly, and maintain cleanliness of bins and sheds.
* Assist with Inventory & Cost Management: Participate in stocktakes, minimize waste, support financial processes, report variances, and liaise with department heads.
* Documentation & Communication: Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective communication.
* General Hotel Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements:
* 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (advantageous)
* Ability to work independently
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Fluent in English
