Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead and manage the delivery of multiple projects in Ireland, ensuring operational performance.
They will participate in the Executive Management Team, advising on market trends and contributing to overall group management.
A key part of this role is developing strategic relationships within the construction market to secure future business and manage existing accounts with tier 1 and 2 partners.
The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, maximizing value for clients.
Autonomy and collaboration are essential skills, as the Operations Director will operate independently and make key project decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk management is also a critical aspect of this role, as the candidate will oversee risk identification, understanding, and mitigation to ensure successful project delivery.
They will manage operational and commercial aspects of projects from tender to completion, maintaining stakeholder relationships.
Value engineering is also an important skill, as the candidate will work with design teams to maximize stakeholder value.
Contractual documentation and project programmes are under their control, and they must maintain accurate records.
Active participation in site meetings and resolving commercial issues promptly are also expected.
Leading and mentoring project staff across design, programme, production, and regulatory areas is a significant responsibility.
The Operations Director will continuously seek operational improvements, streamline processes, and collaborate to add value.
Developing and nurturing client relationships aligned with the company's business development strategy is crucial.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree in Engineering or Construction (Master's degree preferred).
* Senior-level experience, ideally with a main or specialist contractor.
