How You'll Make an Impact
Deliver individualised teaching programmes that support each child's communication, social and developmental progress.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to drive measurable outcomes.
Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that enables children to feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.
Use evidence-based approaches to support behaviour, independence and emotional regulation.
Work closely with Behaviour Support colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and effective interventions.
Build strong relationships with families to support each child's development both in the classroom and at home.
Contribute to a collaborative, professional team environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Must-Haves
Level 8 qualification (or higher) in Special Education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Care or a related discipline.
Eligible for registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
Experience supporting children with autism and/or additional needs.
Strong understanding of child-centred and autism-informed practice.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A calm, patient and professional approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
Nice-to-Haves
Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs, Autism or related field.
Experience in an early intervention or preschool setting.
Training in PECS, Lámh or other communication supports.
Interest in continuous professional development and specialist practice.
