We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming store environment, and maintaining high levels of product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers and assist them in finding products, while providing information about items
* Process transactions at the Point of Sale, handling cash and payments with efficiency
* Manage stock levels, rotating and replenishing stock with minimal effort, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing
* Assist with deliveries, fulfill order picking, and support stocktaking as requested
* Promote sales, highlight special offers, and aid in meeting sales targets
* Maintain a tidy and well-run store, including displaying signs and promotions, and adhering to hygiene policies
* Handle customer complaints, providing explanations and/or refunds where necessary, and resolving returned item issues
Requirements:
* Previous retail experience is highly valued
* We are open to training the right candidate
* Effective communication skills, with a welcoming manner to customers and colleagues
* Able to work in a team environment, with a strong team spirit
* Familiarity with EPOS systems
* Compliance with company policies on cash handling and closing procedures
