We have a great opportunity on behalf of our client, a Medtech Healthcare provider. They are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Specialist.
To deliver a comprehensive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) support service that promotes best practice and adopts a pragmatic approach, thereby contributing to the achievement of business objectives and ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS legislation
Your new role
1. Strong understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and standards e.g. ISO45001, OSHA, local regulations ROI & NI.
2. Play a key role in maintaining, continuously improving and promoting a strong EHS culture and management systems across all Healthcare sites in Ireland.
3. Work with the Regulatory & Compliance team to achieve the relevant accreditation at all Healthcare 21 sites and assist during external audits.
4. Liaise with regulators and third parties as appropriate in relation to inspections and incidents.
5. Support the Quality and Compliance Manager to developing and implementing appropriate and effective EHS policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
6. 2–3 years' experience in a similar role
7. Third level qualification in health & safety/environment
8. Full driving licence and willingness to routinely travel to other Group sites.
9. High level of computer literacy, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
10. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
11. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation, including senior management.
