Celtic Careers is working with an established commercial vehicle sales client seeking an experienced Aftersales & Operations Manager to take ownership of its workshop and customer service function. This role requires a balance of technical capability, leadership strength, and commercial judgement to ensure consistent workshop performance and strong customer retention.Location: Naas, Co. KildareSalary: €70,000 - €80,000 DOEBonus: Up to €5,000 (KPI-based)Key ResponsibilitiesYou’ll take ownership of workshop performance, ensuring work is planned effectively, delivered on time, and completed to a high standard.Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and workflow planningEnsure repair quality meets manufacturer and safety standardsCoordinate with parts and support teams to minimise downtimeManage job control, quotations, warranty queries, and service admin issuesMonitor productivity, efficiency, and workshop outputMaintain equipment, compliance, and safety standardsSupport budgeting, cost control, and operational planningReview payroll inputs including overtime approvalYou’ll also ensure customers receive a consistent, professional service experience and that escalations are handled effectively.Lead the customer service advisors across the full customer journeyManage escalations, complaints, and complex customer issuesBuild strong long-term customer relationships through clear communicationMaintain high standards of customer experience throughoutLeadership & Team DevelopmentThis is a key leadership role responsible for developing and driving performance across an experienced team.Lead and support supervisors, technicians, and service advisorsConduct performance reviews and ongoing coachingDeliver toolbox talks and ensure training compliancePromote a strong culture of accountability, process, and continuous improvementCreate a positive, high-performance, customer-focused environmentCommercial & Performance ManagementYou will be accountable for departmental performance and ensuring strong commercial discipline across the workshop.Monitor KPIs including efficiency, productivity, hours sold, and customer satisfactionManage budgets and support cost control initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve workshop performanceSupport service campaigns, upselling, and tender/project activityAbout YouProven experience in a similar service or workshop leadership roleStrong technical understanding of trucks and/or busesConfident people leader with experience managing technical teamsStrong commercial awareness and results focusComfortable working with structured processes and controlsAbility to interpret KPIs and make practical decisionsStrong communication and customer service mindsetCalm, organised, and able to manage a busy workshop environmentPackageSalary: €70,000 – €80,000 depending on experienceBonus: Up to €5,000 (KPI-based)Pension: 3%Holidays: 21 daysHours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–5:30One Saturday per monthIf you are living in Ireland and hold a valid work permit, we would love to hear from you.
