Overview
The Small, Medium, and Corporate (SMC) team helps businesses achieve their digital transformation goals by matching customer challenges with Microsoft solutions. Located in either a Digital Sales center or a local subsidiary, you will help our managed customers across industries, company sizes, and territories to identify their needs and opportunities. One of the fastest-growing customer segments in the technology industry, you will help customers migrate to the cloud across Microsoft solution areas like Modern Workplace, Business Applications, Infrastructure, and Data & AI.
Role Description
As an Azure Infrastructure Specialist, you are a business leader with technical expertise working with our most important managed customers. You will lead a virtual team of sales, technical, and services resources to help customers realize digital transformation through cloud computing, achieving or exceeding quarterly Azure consumption targets for related workloads in your assigned accounts.
You possess high emotional intelligence with executive presence, able to engage with senior decision-makers to uncover digital transformation initiatives, and have a passion for learning how Azure cloud services can deliver digital transformation. You will develop and maintain Azure expertise, identify projects, build compelling business cases, and drive projects to production. Building and maintaining relationships with customers, influencing strategic direction, and acting as a trusted advisor at the CXO level are key components of this role.

Responsibilities
1. Engage with customers to determine needs and identify opportunities with Microsoft Cloud technologies.
2. Identify and surface new engagements aligned with customer strategies, working with partners and Microsoft tools.
3. Communicate effectively with decision-makers via various channels, removing sales and technical roadblocks.
4. Serve as a trusted technical advisor, influencing customer decisions on Azure solutions.
5. Lead migration and modernization efforts for Azure, including WS, SQL, SAP, and collaborating with Data & AI, SAP, and Security teams.
6. Drive security initiatives and include Microsoft's Security portfolio as a key differentiator.
7. Collaborate with partners on territory planning and migration execution, demonstrating Azure value propositions.
8. Maintain and enhance your skills through certifications and learning.
9. Conduct whitespace analysis and develop target lists for high-potential customers.
10. Deliver solution demonstrations and whiteboarding sessions to secure customer commitment.
11. Generate new leads through territory planning, campaigns, events, and demos.
12. Qualify prospects, turn leads into opportunities, and collaborate with partners to increase revenue pipeline.
13. Meet and exceed targets for pipeline, activity, and forecasting.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
* Experience in technology-related sales or account management.
* Or a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, or related field plus relevant sales/account management experience.
* Or equivalent experience.
* Growth mindset with problem-solving, learning, and development focus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of cloud development platforms and partner ecosystems.
* Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification or ability to attain within 3 months.
* Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, migrations, and technology management, including:
o Application development on Azure with languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, Node.js.
o Architectures using Azure App Service, API Management, serverless, containers, microservices.
o DevOps and CI/CD practices with tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub.
o Data & AI technologies, including SQL/NoSQL, Big Data, Machine Learning.
Location
Based in Dublin, Ireland, or London, UK. Relocation expenses are not provided. You must reside and be authorized to work in Ireland or the UK.
