Overview
This role is responsible to deliver Tirlán food and feed regulatory compliance as well as ensuring that associated internal standards and policies are understood and applied correctly for product formulations, specifications, labels, claims (made directly on products or indirectly in product related communications) at all stages of manufacturing, supply chain, storage, and distribution. This role covers all product categories (Food and Feed) both at Tirlán sites and third-party manufacturing sites with direct responsibility for providing regulatory consult/input to regulatory queries and completion of regulatory reviews of new products (NPD projects) and existing products going to new markets to ensure regulatory compliance in design. The role involves verifying and signing off the product specifications, labels, claims and communications to ensure regulatory compliance. The role supports regulatory- relevant customer queries and acts as a primary contact to respond to those regulatory requests.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure regulatory compliance across all Tirlán products (Food & Feed) produced in-house or at third-party manufacturers;
* Responsible to oversee regulatory updates/changes and conveying these to the relevant work areas of business and incorporating those to new product regulatory reviews;
* Verify that the regulatory information on new raw materials (New for use in Tirlán) and product/packaging declarations retrieved from suppliers and TPMs (third party manufacturers) is compliant to selling market/s' regulatory requirements;
* Responsible to complete regulatory reviews of new products (in NPD projects) and existing products going to new markets to ensure regulatory compliance in the market;
* Develop regulatory relevant content (formats, forms, SOPs, work-tools, trainings etc.) related to regulatory tasks on labels, claims and business communications and keep this content up to date with respect to current regulations;
* Provide regulatory consult in development of product specifications, claims, labels, services, and communications (for both food and feed categories) to ensure regulatory compliance and sign off the final documents (product specifications, labels, claims and communications) as regulatory lead;
* Support business by managing regulatory requests to ensure timely response to customers' regulatory queries and internal regulatory requests;
* Manage monthly review meeting (3M - Measure, Meet and Manage) of day-to-day tasks and Developing Tomorrow projects;
* Provide support to manage regulatory share-point and document control for the regulatory relevant internal documents/SOPs.
Key Requirements
* Preferable 1-2 year experience in product regulatory compliance & specification management;
* Experience in agricultural, food & dairy industry;
* Experience in delivering product label compliance, claim rationalisation and verification;
* Strong communication skills;
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
* Cross functional coordination and stakeholder management;
* Experience in managing regulatory requests and preparing balanced response/position to support and protect business against regulatory breaches;
