Position Overview
The Food & Beverage Duty Manager plays a key role in the daily supervision and delivery of the resort’s food and beverage services. The successful candidate will support the F&B Manager and wider management team to ensure that all dining experiences—from casual to formal—are delivered to the highest standard. This hands-on leadership role involves overseeing staff, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining operational standards across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the day-to-day running of all food and beverage operations across the Clubhouse Bar, Restaurant, Function Rooms, and On-Course Services.
* Ensure the highest level of customer service is consistently delivered by the team.
* Support the recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of F&B staff.
* Monitor service standards, hygiene, presentation, and health & safety compliance at all times.
* Liaise with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
* Handle guest feedback promptly and professionally.
* Assist in stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
* Ensure financial controls are followed, including cash handling and till reconciliations.
* Help coordinate F&B elements of club events, golf days, weddings, and other functions.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a food & beverage or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and staff development.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Organised, proactive, and able to perform well under pressure.
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Working knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
Desirable:
* Experience in a golf club, hotel, or resort setting.
* Bar or sommelier training and/or experience in high-volume beverage operations.
* Knowledge of POS systems.
* Formal hospitality or management qualification.
