Job Summary:
As an EHS Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and support to ensure a safe working environment for our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide authoritative advice and guidance on all EHS matters to management, safety representatives, and employees
* Lead by example, demonstrating proactive leadership and initiative in all aspects of the role
* Audit and inspect projects to identify areas for improvement and agree achievable corrective and preventive action plans to ensure compliance with EHS standards
* Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and develop effective recommendations for continuous improvement
* Ensure accurate reporting of business EHS risks, KPIs, and trends, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making
* Maintain up-to-date Site EHS Plans, RAMS, and other associated site documents, ensuring they remain compliant with relevant regulations and requirements
Requirements:
* 3+ Years' Experience in a related field
* Strong knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and CSA principles
* Diploma or equivalent in Occupational H&S (NFQ 8)
* Certificate in Environmental Management (NFQ 6)
* Safe Pass certification, CSCS (UK), Train the Trainer, First Aid, Training Instructor qualifications
* Internal ISO14000 and ISO45000 system auditor experience
* Experience working with sub-contractors and Construction Regulations, CDM roles
* Excellent communication skills, including presentations, reports, written, and verbal
* Ability to work collaboratively with Kirby/client/main contractor Safety and Project teams
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality audits and EHS reports
* Stay up-to-date with Legislation, Standards, Guidance, Advice, and Compliance
* Proactive in identifying positive and negative actions, with the ability to implement realistic corrective and preventive actions
* Lead and coordinate incident investigations, utilizing root cause analysis
* IOSH membership or equivalent
