Job Summary:
Senior Contracts & Procurement Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts & Procurement Manager to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in construction contracts and procurement, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Sourcing and Pre-Qualification of Contractors: Identify and select qualified contractors for projects.
* Preparation and Issue of Tenders: Develop and issue tender documents for construction contracts.
* Commercial and Technical Evaluation of Tenders: Evaluate bids and recommend award of contracts.
* Chairing Clarification Meetings: Lead meetings with contractors to clarify tender requirements.
* Leading Commercial Negotiations: Negotiate contract terms and conditions with contractors.
* Preparing Recommendation Reports for Approval: Present recommendations for contract awards to management.
* Preparing and Updating Procurement Strategies: Develop and maintain procurement strategies for the company.
* Preparing and Updating Procurement Reports: Compile reports on procurement activities and performance.
* Preparation of Contract Documents: Prepare contract documents, including agreements and amendments.
* Monitor Contractor Performance and Drive Improvement: Monitor contractor performance and take corrective action when necessary.
* Contract Management Support during the Construction Phase: Provide support to project teams during the construction phase.
Qualifications:
* 20+ Years of Related Experience: Proven track record of large-scale EPCM projects in various global locations.
* Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Engineering: Strong educational background in quantity surveying or engineering.
* Detailed Knowledge of Tendering and Contract Management Methods and Procedures: In-depth understanding of tendering and contract management processes.
* Strong Legal Grounding in Construction Contracts: Excellent knowledge of construction law and regulations.
* Experience of Main Forms of Contract: Familiarity with standard forms of construction contracts.
* High-Level Skills to Evaluate Bids and Compile Reports: Ability to evaluate bids and compile reports for use in determining successful offers.
* Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to prepare and maintain complex records and files in an automated system.
* Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to build relationships with relevant parties and communicate effectively.
* Flexibility and Ability to Handle Multiple Requests: Ability to handle multiple requests from across several areas.
* Strong Sense of Customer Focus and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize customer needs.
* Self-Starter with Ability to Work on Own Initiative: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Proficient in Excel and Other Office Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
