Lead Psychologist Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Psychologist Manager to join our team. This is a senior leadership role that offers the opportunity to shape service delivery, support complex clinical work, and drive innovation across a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
The successful candidate will lead and develop psychology services within our Adult Clinical Services Directorate, providing clinical governance, strategic leadership, and operational management for psychology services across adult disability settings.
Job Description
This is a high-profile role that involves overseeing multiple psychology teams, delivering high-quality, evidence-based supports, and carrying a defined clinical caseload. The key priorities include service development, multidisciplinary collaboration, staff supervision, resource management, and ensuring equitable access to specialist psychological supports.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with adults with intellectual disability, autism, dementia, and mental health needs, as well as proven leadership and service-management experience. Experience in governance, service development, and budget management would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Governance: Provide clinical governance and strategic leadership for psychology services across adult disability settings.
* Clinical Practice: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based supports and carry a defined clinical caseload.
* Team & Staff Management: Oversee multiple psychology teams and provide staff supervision.
* Resource & Budget Management: Manage resources and ensure efficient use of budgets.
* Training, Research & Quality Improvement: Drive innovation and quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and promote collaborative working practices.
Essential Requirements
* Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology that qualifies for employment within Adult Disability services.
* Eligible for registration with PSI, HCPC, or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience as a Senior Psychologist in Adult Disability services.
* Significant experience working with adults with intellectual disability, autism, dementia, and mental health needs.
Desirable Experience
* Experience in governance, service development, and budget management.
* Specialist expertise in areas such as ASD, MHID, Dementia, or Positive Behaviour Support.
