This field-based role offers a competitive salary and excellent company benefits, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of healthcare solutions.AccountabilitiesBuild and maintain robust expertise in relevant therapeutic areas through continuous education and active monitoring of scientific literature.Implement local medical plans aligned with brand strategies to address unmet medical needs.Engage with key opinion leaders and enhance relationships within specific therapy areas.Provide medical-scientific training and education for AstraZeneca employees.Offer medical and clinical expertise to support brand strategy and product lifecycle management.Coordinate and implement scientific events and educational initiatives for healthcare professionals.Collaborate with the Market Access team on scientific communication with healthcare authorities.Respond to medical and scientific queries alongside the Medical Information/Patient Safety team.Manage Early Access medicine requests according to local policy.Essential Skills/ExperienceMinimum: Clinical/Life Sciences Degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in medical affairs within a pharmaceutical companyStrong understanding of respiratory and immunology vaccines and immunotherapies, cardiovascular, renal, and metabolism therapeutic areas or ability to acquire this knowledge rapidlyProfessional experience in the healthcare industryHigh-level scientific knowledge and ability to analyze clinical and scientific dataStrong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiencesExcellent project management abilityExperience liaising with healthcare professionalsQuick self-learner, standout colleague, and independent workerDriving license and willingness to drive within IrelandDesirable Skills/ExperienceExperience as an MSL or equivalent experience in Medical Affairs within the mentioned therapeutic areasEngagement with healthcare regulatory authoritiesExperience in pre-launch, peri-launch, and post-launch phases of product lifecycle managementKnowledge of local regulatory and market access requirements related to medical affairs activitiesUnderstanding of legal and ethical frameworks for medicinal product promotion and approval in IrelandAstraZeneca offers a dynamic environment where you can be at the forefront of shaping the future of healthcare.
