Financial Reporting Specialist
Preparation and review of financial statements are key responsibilities in this role. Complex fund accounting, reconciliation of balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and statement of shareholders' equity are essential tasks.
Collaboration with auditors and stakeholders is crucial to ensure financial reports accurately reflect fund performance. Additionally, drafting financial statements and reports incorporating fund calculations, reviewing work of junior colleagues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are vital aspects of this position.
* Preparing and reviewing accounting statements for complex funds on behalf of clients, working closely with auditors and stakeholders.
* Reviewing balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and statement of shareholders' equity for complex funds to ensure reconciliation.
* Drafting financial statements and reports, incorporating fund calculations, for client review; overseeing the work of junior colleagues to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Ensuring financial reports comply with relevant corporate and regulatory standards, implementing updates as required.
* Collaborating with auditors and stakeholders to adjust financial reports and ensure they reflect fund performance.
This role requires strong knowledge of double-entry and financial accounting principles, with exposure to IFRS or equivalent. A professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is preferred, along with familiarity with IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, and investment fund structures. Experience with financial reporting platforms (e.g., Confluence Unity, DFIN Arc Reporting) is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The ideal candidate will have 57 years of experience, preferably within a fund administrator or professional services firm (including Big 4) with exposure to fund investments.
