Resident Engineer - Electrical - Consultancy - Kilkenny
Work Location: Office / Site / Hybrid
Pay: 70k - 90k Negotiable based on experience
Experience: 10+ years
Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required
Our client is a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services.
The Resident Engineer shall be responsible for monitoring, witness testing, checking compliance with the scope, and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with the works contract.
The Resident Engineer shall work predominantly on site.
Manage the H&S system relevant to their work area.
Participate in activities supporting the Quality Management system.
Ensure 90% achievement in due date delivery of services.
Check project documentation, drawings, and calculations, as required.
Verify design calculations are in accordance with the QA system requirements.
Carry out site surveys and attend site meetings.
Review Claim / Variation submissions.
Participate fully within the project team.
Ensure thorough understanding of project management objectives.
Follow defined goals and training plans.
Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Requirements:
* Relevant Degree qualified (Level 8) in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 10+ years’ postgraduate experience.
* Experience in Public Realm, Building Services, including Commercial, Industrial, or Healthcare projects.
* Significant experience in client interfaces and contract administration on medium to large projects.
* Highly motivated with the ability to lead junior staff.
* Good site experience including construction support, surveys, meetings, and generating snag lists.
* Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Basic understanding of building services design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, HEVACOMP, and similar.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
