About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Civil and Structural Team in Ireland as a Principal Structural Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering engineering design work on power plants, HV substations/HVDC interconnector converter stations, and HV cable projects. The successful candidate will have experience of structural engineering design and analysis, with a strong understanding of load-bearing capacity, material properties, and design codes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management - overseeing project timelines, budgets, and quality.
* Structural Design - designing and analyzing complex structures using SAP2000, ETABS, or similar software.
* Design Coordination - coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
* Proposal Writing and Cost Estimation - writing compelling proposals and estimating project costs accurately.
* Front End Engineering Design (FEED) - leading FEED activities related to structural components.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Advanced Structural Engineering Knowledge - deep understanding of structural engineering principles.
* Proficiency in Structural Analysis Software - familiarity with tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar software.
* Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) - knowledge of BIM technologies and their application to improve project visualization, coordination, and execution.
* Strong Communication and Leadership Skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership mindset, and ability to guide junior engineers.
