We are looking for a talented and experienced Copy Editor who has extensive tabletop roleplaying game experienceand knowledge of our game worlds. Working across our game lines, you'll ensure our text is engaging and our lore is accurate. You will be able to hop between multiple ongoing projects, have insight into what makes a great gaming experience and be a team player who gives effective feedback.
You'll -
* Review a minimum of 50,000 words per week .
* Provide early and effective feedback to writers and producers throughout the creation process on tone, clarity, and lore.
* Evaluate content for mechanical accuracy, alignment with game rules, systems, and terminology.
* Undertake copywriting as needed, on TTRPG and card games in development and for marketing.
* Build extensive IP knowledge and understanding the brand needs of our high-profile licence partners, and sharing that with the team in a professional and organised way.
* Ensure language elements of style guides are complete and adhered to.
To do this you'll have to show -
* Love of table top RPGs and knowledge of all our game settings.
* An appreciation of Cubicle 7's house styles.
* Strong copy editing and experience.
* Over 3 years' experience in delivering creative, long form written projects.
* Strong project management skills - familiarity with online project management tools, with desirable.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the team and freelancers.
* Experience of providing effective feedback to writers and other editors to produce a quality creative product and develop team capability.
* Be able to work independently and as part of the wider production team.
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace or MS Office required.
This is a 2 year contract, full time role which can be hybrid or fully remote
Applicants based outside Ireland or the UK may apply on a self employed contractor basis. You must have at least 4 hours working day crossover with the Irish office. Some travel will be expected.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to do an IP knowledge and a copy edit test before the final interview stage.
