Job Title: Educational Support Specialist
As a Bilingual ESL Paraprofessional, you will work with non-English-speaking students and parents at various school sites. Your role is to assist school personnel in communicating with families, provide tutoring support, and promote family engagement by using your language skills to communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Uphold school policies and procedures.
* Support the efficient operation of the school as directed by school administrators.
* Respect student and staff confidentiality.
* Foster positive student attitudes and behaviors.
* Engage in professional growth and development activities.
* Report for duty before school hours and stay after school unless specified otherwise.
* Plan with assigned teachers, tutor students, and assist with testing activities.
* Maintain accurate student records and charts, assist with preparing materials, and perform clerical tasks.
* Assist with physical needs of students, take precautions for their safety and welfare, and participate in professional development activities.
* Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with school staff, parents, and the community.
* Perform other duties as assigned to ensure safe and effective school operation.
* Ensure proper communication between parents and the school, promote good public relations, and maintain confidentiality.
* Follow Board of Education policies and procedures.
