Job DescriptionDue to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager available within our Deal Advisory department in the Cork office.The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who possesses a high degree of commercial awareness and attention to detail. This role provides strong candidates with the opportunity to become a key part of a rapidly growing area of the business, and offers highly attractive career development and progression opportunities. The Deal Advisory department in Grant Thornton is a market leader and has extensive experience in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, valuations and raising capital and business planning.ResponsibilitiesManage buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements across various sectors, ensuring high-quality deliverables.Analyse financial and operational data to identify key business drivers, risks, and deal issues.Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, legal, and operational due diligence.Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the deal lifecycle.Support business development activities, including proposal writing and pitch presentations.Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.Analyse and assist with the preparation of valuation reports.Assist with sale and purchase mandates, MBO and MBI assignments.QualificationsACA / ACCA / CFA qualified or equivalent;5+ years of Transaction Advisory Services (preferably financial due diligence) at an established Transaction Advisory practice is a must;Strong project management and leadership capabilities;Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar is a plus;Fluency in English is a must;Excellent communication skills; andIndustry experience with an interest in returning to a professional services environment.About UsGrant Thornton Ireland is rapidly approaching 3,000 people, in 9 offices across Ireland, Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Bermuda.
