Job Role Overview
As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality within our procurement processes. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and improve our supplier base through thorough audits and evaluations.
Main Responsibilities
* Monitor and resolve supplier performance issues by creating effective quality control plans and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
* Pursue permanent resolutions for reported issues from our facilities and customers.
* Drive improvement initiatives with suppliers to identify and address issues related to new product introduction, first article inspection (FAI), and production part approval process (PPAP) as well as mass production.
* Lead and own PPAP requirements associated with changes.
* Conduct risk assessments for supplier-led changes.
* Lead problem definition and reactive problem solving through containment, identification of root cause, and corrective action with supplier corrective action report (SCAR).
* Develop 8D and supplier reports on reported issues.
* Communicate outcomes of investigations internally and externally.
Requirements
* 1-3 years of experience in a supplier quality engineer role or related field.
* Familiarity with problem-solving tools and quality core tools (i.e., 8-D, A3, 5-Whys, DOE, SCAR, Fishbone, Pareto, Six Sigma, ISIR/FAI, PPAP).
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks based on complexity, urgency, and impact.
