Job Title: Retail Operations Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Operations Manager to join their team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and optimizing store operations.

Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness at all times.
- Drive sales in the department, implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Engage positively with staff at all levels, fostering a positive work environment and promoting good staff morale.
- Ensure customer service levels are consistently high, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Communicate operating standards to staff, ensuring they understand and implement such standards at all times.
- Oversee merchandising and presentation of the store, maintaining a high standard of visual appeal and display.
- Monitor department overheads, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are met.
- Manage staff rotas, ensuring the right people are in place to maintain operational standards while controlling labor costs.
- Conduct regular staff appraisals and be part of the recruitment process for the company.

Ideal Candidate:
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Proven experience as a leader, with a strong background in sales and grocery management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management capacity in a grocery retail environment.
- A proven track record of motivating and developing a large, diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Superior customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on finding solutions that benefit the company and its customers.
