Job Summary
Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Machine Learning Scientist – Robotics & Automation to join our growing R&D team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and deploying intelligent algorithms that power next-generation robotic systems and autonomous platforms. You will work closely with robotics engineers, software developers, and product teams to build data-driven solutions that enable machines to perceive, learn, adapt, and act in real-world environments.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about artificial intelligence, robotics, and applied machine learning, and who thrives in a fast-paced, research-oriented startup environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for robotics and automation systems.
Build and optimize algorithms for perception, motion planning, control, and decision‑making.
Work with sensor data (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, depth sensors) to enable real‑time robotic intelligence.
Conduct experiments, simulations, and validations to improve model accuracy and performance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate ML models into robotic hardware and software stacks.
Develop pipelines for data collection, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment.
Research and apply state‑of‑the‑art techniques in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision.
Monitor and continuously improve deployed models in production environments.
Document methodologies, models, and results for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in Python; experience with C++ is a plus.
Hands‑on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
Solid understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
Experience in computer vision, SLAM, or sensor fusion is highly desirable.
Knowledge of robotics middleware such as ROS/ROS2.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Experience

3+ years of experience in machine learning, AI research, or robotics‑related roles.
Proven experience building and deploying ML models in real‑world or industrial applications.
Experience working with robotic systems, autonomous platforms, or embedded systems is preferred.
Exposure to research environments, academic publications, or innovation labs is an advantage.

Working Hours

Full‑time position, 40 hours per week.
Flexible working hours with core collaboration time.
Hybrid or remote options may be available depending on project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Deep understanding of statistical modeling and algorithm design.
Ability to translate business and engineering problems into ML solutions.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and MLOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong drive for continuous learning.
