Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mould Tooling Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production process, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining optimum molding processes for the manufacturing of regulated molded components.

The successful candidate will provide technical/project management support for the introduction of new molding equipment and processes to site. You will also provide technical support for processing issues or changes on existing moulding processes.
">
Your duties will include being the moulding/tooling lead for new product introduction to Cork Manufacturing Operations, project management lead depending on project responsibilities, scope and complexity.
">
You will work closely with Project Leads for various capital projects to manage/co-ordinate key activities related to new moulding machines/mould tools and auxiliary equipment. This includes initiating user requirement specifications, vendor selection, requests for quotation and equipment/mould build.

Additionally, you will participate in design reviews and FAT of new moulding equipment and tooling, prepare complete and accurate records/documentation of assigned project activities, and support/lead technology improvements that advance our molding processes for new and existing products.

You will optimize processes using latest molding techniques/principles, troubleshoot molding/manufacturing processes, conduct feasibility trials/process DOEs, and ensure new processes are designed for manufacture, automated, innovative, cost effective and meet all Quality and EHS regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Polymer and/or Polymer Process Engineering or Mould Tooling related education. Advanced training in plastic injection moulding processing is essential.
">
RJG Master Molder certification (or other scientific moulding certification) is preferable. You should have at least 8 years of hands-on engineering experience in high volume injection moulding facility.

We are looking for someone with working knowledge of the following: medical device experience, validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ), robot programming, hot runner moulds, tooling issue diagnostics, moulding machine diagnostics, central material handling systems and colour blending.

You should also have up-to-date knowledge of injection moulding machine technology and capabilities, Minitab/Learn Sigma techniques, and AutoCAD.
