The purpose of this postis to discharge the duties of a Staff Grade Audiologist.

Essential Criteria Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:(i) Hold the two year full time Audiology awarded by the National University of Ireland, University College Cork at Level9 On The Quality And Qualifications Of Ireland (QQI)framework, which includes a licence to practice clinicalaudiology in Ireland OR(ii)Hold an equivalent qualification in Audiology awarded inanother jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health(An Roinn Slinte) (See Note 1* below)ORHold the BSc (Hons) in Audiology awarded by Athlone Instituteof Technology awarded in 2016 only, at Level 8 on the Quality And Qualifications Of Ireland (QQI) Framework.

OR(C )Candidates currently working as an Audiologist or Audiological Scientist Within The Irish Health System Must Holda qualification equivalent to (A) above ORThe British Association of Audiologists Examinations Parts 1 & 2 (or its predecessor)ORA qualification equivalent to (C), (a), (b).

ANDCandidates must provide evidence of audiological competencerelevant to the scope of practice required for the role.(See Note 2* below)ANDCandidates who did not complete the required studies throughthe medium of English must demonstrate their proficiency inthe English language through the submission of certificationfrom the International English Language Testing System (IES TS).

An overall score of 7.00 is required with a minimum of Reading 6.5, Writing 7, Listening 6.5, and Speaking 7 ANDCandidates must possess the requisite Audiologicalcompetency, professional knowledge experience, and ability(including a high standard of suitability and administrativeability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office Note 1 In addition to this requirement, documentation should beprovided to indicate that the qualification entitles the candidateto practise as an audiologist in the country where they qualified Note 2 Certified evidence of clinical competency may take the form offormal certification (e.g.

CCC, CAC etc) or formal writtenstatements from reliable clinical or academic sources confirmingcompetence in one or more areas of practice.
