The Hepatology Nurse Specialist will take a lead role in providing education, management, and support services for patients with liver disorders, including Hepatitis B. They will lead in disseminating and implementing evidence-based care by developing shared guidelines and protocols for patients with liver disease.· Responsible for delivering specialist care to this patient group and co-managing a caseload of patients attending the Centre for Liver Disease.· Act as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients with liver disease and their families.· Ward-based role – reviewing and advising on individualized care needs of Hepatology patients.· Outpatient department (OPD) role – providing expert assistance to the multidisciplinary liver team, ensuring optimal treatment and care for individual patients.
