The Menu Cakery is a busy, independent bakery and café focused on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. As a small, hands-on team, we value versatility and teamwork.
We are looking for a motivated junior/commis chef who is happy to work across baking, food preparation, kitchen operations, and occasional front-of-house support when required.
This role suits someone who enjoys learning different parts of a food business and wants to build strong, all-round skills.
About the Role
* Assist with daily baking and production
* Prepare savoury and lunch items
* Support service and plating
* Maintain hygiene, cleaning, and HACCP standards
* Help with stock rotation and prep
* Provide occasional support in the front shop when needed
This role is focused on our busiest trading days (Friday to Sunday). Applicants must be available to work most weekends.
Additional weekday hours may be available for the right candidate.
