The successful candidate will join the Shared Services Centre based in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.
Position
Senior Accountant – RTR team (European markets) reporting to the RTR Manager. This role is based in the Shared Services Centre in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin. You will have opportunities to problem solve, drive process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You should be able to work both within a dynamic team and independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage monthly general ledger close activities for US GAAP.
* Review and prepare monthly reconciliations and journals to ensure high-quality US GAAP compliance.
* Complete SOX controls in line with the control matrix.
* Work closely with outsourced business partners.
* Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and provide information and support as needed.
* Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to key team projects.
* Support Corporate Function with FP&A activities, including BTS annual planning and forecasting and robust financial governance in operations.
* Complete month-end close activities for the Corporate function including variance analysis and commentary.
* Perform other ad-hoc activities as required.
Essential Qualifications
* Accounting Qualification – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
* Post-qualification experience, preferably with Shared Service Center and multinational corporation background; open to practice experience with global clients.
* Strong initiative in change management and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
* SAP or other major ERP systems experience is desirable.
* Strong Excel skills are required for the role.
* Power BI or data analytics skills desirable.
* Ability to work independently to understand and summarise financial data into high-quality, accurate and usable summaries.
* Ability to challenge the status quo with a positive, proactive attitude.
