We're looking for a
Senior-level Data Scientist
with technical depth, strong ownership, and a track record of independently delivering complex data science solutions. Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in applied data science, ideally in signal processing, healthtech, or other high-stakes, data-intensive domains.
Responsibilities:
* Clinical data analysis, statistical modelling and visualisation of cardiovascular data sets
* Advanced signal processing and analysis of implanted cardiovascular sensor data
* Own the development and validation of algorithms to interpret data sets
* Serve as a key technical expert in communicating data and conclusions to internal and external customers
* Support reporting for FIRE1 quality management system
* Engage with the FIRE1 QMS to ensure delivery of the overall quality strategy & support the achievement of the business quality objectives
Skills, qualifications & experience:
Essential:
* PhD or M.Sc. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, data science, or equivalent
* Substantial experience in Statistical Modelling and Clinical Data Analysis (5+ years)
* Advanced Signal Processing for Biomedical sensor data (5+ years)
* Proficient in Python or Matlab programming for analysis of data (5+ years)
* Experience in data visualisation and results communication as well as documentation
Desirable:
* Excellent analytical skills with very strong numeracy
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent communicator with experience developing relationships with senior internal stakeholders to understand their requirements
* Well organised with experience prioritizing and working to deadlines
* Strong report writing experience
* An aptitude for identifying & implementing process improvements
* Ability to proactively identify issues and make recommendations
* Proven ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities
* Have strong project management and multi-tasking skills
