Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and tracking subcontractor packages to ensure all project requirements are met efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create detailed contracts with subcontractors to establish clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables, fostering strong working relationships.
* Utilise Cubit or similar software to accurately quantify and take off materials, ensuring that all project needs are precisely assessed and documented.
* Actively seek out and evaluate alternative products that offer better value or efficiency, contributing to cost-effective project delivery.
* Prepare and rigorously check valuations to ensure all financial aspects of projects are accounted for accurately and transparently.
* Develop comprehensive subcontractor packages, including detailed pricing to facilitate informed decision-making.
* Leverage negotiation expertise to secure the most competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors, maximising value for the company.
* Cash Flow and Budgeting: effective financial planning and resource allocation for ongoing projects.
* Engage in tendering and estimating processes, contributing valuable insights and expertise to secure new project contracts.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 7 years of experience working in a contracting environment, demonstrating a robust understanding of the construction process.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project, with the ability to effectively manage timelines and documentation.
* Proficient in Cubit software, enabling efficient project management and material tracking.
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, reflecting strong foundational knowledge and expertise in the discipline.
Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary of €80,000 - €90,000 per annum.
