We are now seeking Cost & Contract Managers who can protect commercial interests, manage contract compliance, and bring intelligent cost insight to project delivery.Why Join Movar?Work directly within major UK water frameworks (AMP7 & AMP8), influencing commercial decisions at programme level.Recognised for Global Innovation in Project Controls combine commercial expertise with digital intelligence.Support to gain NEC accreditation, RICS/CECA/APM chartership or equivalent.Hybrid working, typically 3–4 days on client site or regional Movar offices.Values-driven culture built on Integrity, Drive, Empathy, Adaptability and Loyalty (IDEAL).Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Contract ManagementAdminister NEC3/4 contracts (Options A, C & E), ensuring full compliance with contractual mechanisms.Prepare, assess and agree Compensation Events, Early Warnings, Defined Cost, and final accounts.Draft and review contract communications, including CE notifications, Project Manager Instructions and responses.Support procurement, tender evaluations and subcontract drafting in line with NEC terms.Cost Control & Financial ReportingManage project cost plans, budget tracking and earned value analysis.Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, cashflow updates and support applications for payment.Collaborate with Project Managers and QS teams on valuations and cost recovery.Provide commercial insight to support investment decisions and risk management.Risk, Change & Dispute AvoidanceMaintain risk registers and support mitigation strategies.Lead change control processes and ensure alignment with baseline cost and programme.Identify commercial risks/opportunities early and escalate where required.Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes in line with NEC contract principles.Governance & Business SupportMaintain accurate commercial records, audit trails and cost databases.Contribute to internal delivery reviews, commercial governance and lessons learned.Support proposal writing, bids and growth of Movar's Cost & Commercial Management service line.Promote best practice in cost assurance, benchmarking and digital reporting.What You'll BringDegree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Project Management or similar.Strong experience in infrastructure/commercial delivery, water sector or utilities experience preferred.Proven NEC3/4 contract administration skills (Options A, C or E required).NEC Accreditation, NEC Service Manager / Project Manager Certificate (desirable).Working towards chartership (RICS, APM, CICES, ICE or equivalent).Strong financial reporting, forecasting and stakeholder management skills.CSCS card and Water Hygiene/SHEA card advantageous.Full right to work in the UK and willingness to travel.What Movar Offers YouCompetitive salary and performance-based bonus.Funded NEC certification and support for chartership.Hybrid working model, client sites across listed regions.Opportunity to shape AMP8 commercial strategies and influence national infrastructure investment.A supportive, ambitious consultancy where your impact is visible and valued.If you're interested in this role and feel you have the skills and experience to exceed, please send your CV to
