About the Role
This is a hands-on Accounts Assistant role within a small finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. The focus is on accounts payable and banking activity, with exposure across accounts receivable and payroll to support team cover and continuity. This is a hands-on role covering core finance activities within a well-established business
Key Responsibilities
* Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
* Preparing and running supplier payment runs
* Maintaining accurate supplier accounts and resolving queries
* Daily bank postings and bank reconciliations
* Supporting cash management activities
* Providing cover across accounts receivable when required
* Assisting with payroll processing during key periods
* Supporting month-end close tasks and reporting
* Liaising with auditors, Revenue and external parties as needed
* Ensuring adherence to internal financial controls and procedures
* General finance administration and ad hoc support
Candidate Profile
* 2+ years experience in an accounts assistant or finance administration role
* Strong exposure to accounts payable and day-to-day banking
* Self-starter who is well organised with strong attention to detail
* Experience using Sage 50 is important
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
