Key Responsibilities:
* To provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience.
* To oversee the smooth operation of all points of sale and implement effective price perception strategies.
* To communicate operating standards to staff members, ensuring they understand and apply them consistently.
* To monitor the performance of fresh food departments in conjunction with the fresh food manager.
* To adhere to stocktaking procedures, coordinate quarterly stocktakes, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
* To manage ordering processes effectively and optimize stock management practices.
* To analyze department overheads and ensure budget achievement, including wage management.
* To conduct regular staff meetings and foster a positive working environment.
* To provide leadership for junior management and staff, promoting excellence and a good store atmosphere.
* To collaborate with the management team to achieve weekly sales targets, gross profit, and net profit objectives.
* To seek ongoing professional development opportunities and enhance knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* To undertake additional duties as directed by the store manager.
