About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Educator to work within our preschool classroom, providing one-on-one support for a child with additional needs. The successful candidate will help the child engage meaningfully in daily routines and activities, ensuring inclusion within the group and supporting their overall development and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised support to a child with additional needs within the preschool classroom.
* Assist in implementing and adapting the planned curriculum to meet the child's developmental goals.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence.
* Collaborate closely with other educators to ensure consistency in strategies and approaches.
* Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals regarding the child's progress and development.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with service policies and procedures.
* Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold the philosophy and values of the preschool.
Essential Criteria
* Relevant Early Childhood Education qualification (e.g. FETAC LEVEL 5 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or DCYA letter of recognition of Qualifications).
* Understanding of inclusive practices and AISTEAR/SIOLTA
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable
* Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing challenges, or other developmental differences.
* Current First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection certificates.

Pay: €15.00-€16.50 per hour
