Primark is looking for a Pension Specialist for a 6‑month temporary contract role.
What You’ll Do as Pension Specialist (6 months FTC)
Support the Pensions and Risk Lead across all markets, covering pension schemes and risk benefits (life assurance and income continuance), including policy development and process implementation.
Assist with enhancements and changes to pension and risk benefit offerings to meet legislative, market, and competitive requirements, and support large‑scale pension change projects.
Manage day‑to‑day pension operations, including retirements, complex pension queries, HRIS (Workday) updates, and budget management such as invoice processing.
Oversee risk benefit claims, including death claims, liaising with beneficiaries and providing guidance and information to trustees to support benefit payments.
Support operational activities and annual or ad‑hoc projects across all schemes, including renewals, rate reviews, and other scheme‑related initiatives.
Collaborate with the wider Benefits Team to provide guidance on strategic business initiatives, while promoting awareness and engagement with pension schemes and risk benefits among colleagues.

What You’ll Bring
3+ years of relevant experience in a UK or Republic of Ireland pensions role, either in‑house or within a consultancy environment, with knowledge of both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit schemes.
Proven experience supporting pension and risk benefit‑related projects, including change initiatives and ongoing scheme delivery.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking ownership of individual projects and working independently using own initiative.
Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Teams, SharePoint), with degree‑level education or equivalent (including pension qualifications) preferred.
