NET Developer – Fin Tech | Cork | Hybrid
We're partnering with a high-growth Fin Tech company in Cork that's backed by major investment and building the next generation of data-driven financial technology solutions.
They're looking to bring on two senior-level engineers (Staff / Principal) who can combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership.

Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
8+ years in software development
2+ years in a Team Lead or Technical Lead role
Strong hands‑on experience with Azure SQL Database (stored procedures, query tuning, performance optimization)
Experience with database-to-API migrations – moving business logic to the application layer
Worked with large-scale data systems processing millions of records
Leadership Experience
Managed or led teams of 4+ developers
Proven track record mentoring developers (specific examples or references available)
Delivered results under pressure (tight deadlines, shifting priorities, tech debt)
Successfully joined mid‑project and taken over existing codebases or teams
Soft Skills
Excellent communicator – able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
Confident decision‑maker even without perfect information
Highly Desired
Background in Financial Services / Fin Tech / Banking / Payments / Lending
Prior Irish employment experience – familiar with local work culture and regulations
Strong understanding of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, iterative models)
Proven performance optimization across applications or databases
Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy systems
Exposure to regulated or compliance‑heavy environments (data governance focus)
Nice‑to‑Have (Bonus Points)
Exposure to Pyramid Analytics or similar BI tools
Experience with Identity Server / OAuth / Authentication
Partitioning strategies for large tables
C# and Entity Framework proficiency
