Electrical Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
A challenging role is available for an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support major hyperscale data centre projects across Europe. As a key member of the project team, you will play a vital part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and interpret project contract documentation thoroughly.
* Assess and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
* Draft and distribute contractual documents to the supply chain efficiently.
* Identify and evaluate changes in scope and prepare variation pricing accordingly.
* Maintain accurate records of claims, certificates, and retentions.
* Manage commercial and contractual aspects of subcontractor accounts effectively.
* Prepare and present monthly commercial project reports to senior management.
* Provide relevant information and risk analysis to inform strategic decisions.
* Forecast and manage project cash flow to optimize financial performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
* Proven experience in commercial management within the construction or data centre sectors.
* A minimum of 3 years experience in an electrical QS role.
* A strong understanding of construction contracts and contractual obligations.
* Skillful negotiation with excellent client-facing communication.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Teams, and Project.
* An excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
