OverviewPM Group is an international project delivery company operating across Europe, the USA and Asia. We provide project management, process design, facility design, construction management, and commissioning and qualification services for our leading multinational clients.PM Group has Managed Service (MS) teams on several client facilities across Ireland executing projects through all phases of EPCMCQV.We now have a vacancy for a site-based Health & Safety Advisor on an existing Managed Service Team delivering Projects on a Client Pharmaceutical Site in West Dublin.In this client facing role, the Health & Safety Advisor will oversee and support the wider team in the safe planning, coordination and delivery of their portfolio of projects and will report to the Managed Service Projects Site Lead and Group Managed Service Health & Safety Manager.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, promote and maintain a strong, pro-active health, safety and well-being culture within the MS Team.Build and maintain a good working relationship with Client representatives in relation to all H&S matters.Ensure full compliance with National Health and Safety legislation.Integrate the PM Group H&S Policies and Procedures with the Client Site Operating procedures.Integrate and implement PM Group and Client health & safety strategies, programmes and plans in partnership with Group MS Health and Safety.Communicate and co-ordinate the adoption of industry best practices in health and safety within the execution of Projects.Integrate and implement PM Group and Client process of active health and safety monitoring through audits and inspections.Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.Co-ordinate the development and implementation of health and safety programmes and initiatives designed to continually improve performance.Support the existing PM Group Construction Management Team in the execution of health and safety related statutory duties of both Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS).Coordinate, and lead as necessary, the investigation of incidents ensuring root cause analysis is completed and corrective actions are implemented.Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building and behavioural safety coaching.Co-ordinate the development and delivery of safety training, workshops and awareness briefings in consultation with the Site Lead and Client Representatives.Maintain compliance with PM Group safety management system.QualificationsRecognised Diploma in the Occupational Health and Safety.Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent qualification would be an advantageAn advanced knowledge of construction health and safety principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines with a minimum 10 years' experience in a related role.Experience in the leading investigations and using industry standard tools to determine root and contributory causes of accidents on site.Experience and proven capabilities in developing and implementing world class health and safety management systems in a construction projects environment.Experience in developing and implementing behavioural safety programmesStrong verbal and written communication skills; strong influencing and negotiation skills.A demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at management and operator levels within a project organization.Proficient in the use of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.Why PM Group?As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
