Ensure all HVAC systems meet applicable building regulations, environmental legislation, ISO standards, and industry best practice.Maintain GMP-compliant HVAC systems where applicable (e.g., pharmaceutical or medical device environments).Oversee validation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and requalification of HVAC systems.Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.Team & Contractor ManagementLead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and facilities personnel.Manage specialist HVAC contractors, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance with site standards.Establish KPIs to monitor performance, reliability, and service delivery.Lead HVAC-related capital projects from concept through design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.Prepare and manage departmental budgets.Identify cost-saving and energy efficiency initiatives.Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Health, Safety & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with all EHS legislation and company safety policies.Conduct risk assessments related to HVAC systems and maintenance activities.Promote a strong safety culture within the technical and facilities teams.Required Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.8–10+ years’ experience in HVAC systems within industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre, or regulated environments.
