Cyber Governance & Compliance Lead Location: Dublin | €70,000 - €90,000 DOE Type: Full-Time | Security Governance A large financial services organisation in Dublin is expanding its cybersecurity governance function and is looking for someone who can take ownership of compliance oversight across multiple security processes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a small team, support investigations into policy gaps, and help define improvements to the company's internal security controls. The position suits someone who enjoys structured analysis, interpreting policy, and working with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure security requirements are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Lead a small team responsible for reviewing security issues, process deviations, and compliance concerns. Oversee the creation of reports, summaries, and documentation outlining risks or gaps discovered. Coordinate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are understood and progressed. Review referred cases to identify missing controls, breakdowns, or inconsistencies in existing processes. Support the development and improvement of internal security standards and governance frameworks. Maintain tracking data, dashboards, and internal reporting for leadership. Communicate findings clearly and present recommendations to management. Contribute to workshops, reviews, and briefings related to governance and compliance topics. Skills & Experience 5+ years working within cybersecurity, governance, risk, auditing, or a related assurance role. Strong understanding of enterprise security controls and how policies tie into everyday business operations. Experience analysing incidents, documenting issues, and writing clear, structured reports. Familiarity with endpoint security tooling, data protection solutions, or monitoring technologies. Comfortable reviewing standards, procedures, and control requirements. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Excellent written communication and analytical ability. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are beneficial but not essential.
