About the Role A rapidly growing and ambitious accountancy practice is seeking a Manager to join their SME Accounting & Advisory team. This is a key leadership position, responsible for managing a talented team, overseeing client relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery of accounting and advisory services. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the SME Accounting & Advisory team (currently 12 members) Organise and oversee monthly workflow, ensuring timely delivery of: Financial Statements Management Accounts Corporation Tax and VAT Other accounting and advisory assignments Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery Monitor team KPIs and performance metrics, reporting to senior management Identify additional billing opportunities within the client portfolio Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards, firm policies, and deadlines Oversee time-sheet approvals and billing processes Collaborate with partners and management team to meet department objectives Skills & Experience Required ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified 4+ years PQE in Irish practice, with people management experience Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (IAS, FRS 102, IFRS, Auditing Standards) Knowledge of the Irish tax system; some audit experience preferred Excellent understanding of accounting software packages Proven leadership and team management skills Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work within budgets Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality outcomes Whats on Offer Permanent, full-time position Waterford-based with hybrid working (approx. 60/40 split: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Competitive salary package Opportunity to lead and shape a growing team within an ambitious, people-focused environment Skills: Management Accounts Advisory
